Actors Stretch

So often you do a training course and then... You're done. We disagree.

We believe actor training is a muscle that needs to be stretched so we've created classes and courses you can dip in and out of between projects to refresh your skills, recenter yourself, experiment and play in ways you don't get to when your on a project. You can attend these courses in Manchester, Leeds, London or as retreats at our purpose built studio in North Wales.

Every class will be different and will be designed based on who is there and what you need. Perhaps you have an audition coming up or want to practice working in an accent or need to remind yourself how easy connection is, this is the space for you.

Actors Stretch

1 day

The Actor's Stretch is a regular (and fun!) workout for your acting muscles. Hone your skills and go deeper into the technique and/or yourself by exploring:

- Complex given circumstances
- Exercises and scenes with 3+ people
- Taking direction
- Character choices such as physical impediments, conditions including intoxication or illness, imitations and more
- How to use the technique in rehearsal environments
- Integration with other techniques - eg. Laban efforts
- Audition practice

These stretch days take place in Manchester, London and Leeds.

Actors Stretch Retreat

2.5 Days

This is an immersive weekend with beautiful people, your craft, your humaning and the countryside.

Over our weekend together you will continue to be challenged as a human and an actor as we have a biiiig stretch of those acting muscles - as always, you as a group will determine exactly what that will look, sound and feel like.

We’ll connect to our deep sense of self, we’ll continue to practise grounding and stability and what it is to be present because without it you won’t be a present and safe actor.

And it wouldn’t be a retreat if we didn’t get outside to deepen that learning, what that looks like will depend on you and the weather.
