It's an incredibly unique retreat and a very rare opportunity.

Rc-Annie and Both Feet have always believed that in order to work at our best, we need to look after one another. Together we have designed a powerful retreat that will stay with you for your lifetime.  ⚔️ Stage combat unarmed combat to BADC Standard Level culminating in a BADC Examination ⚔️ Evening Fireside mountain top cooking ⚔️ Wild swimming ⚔️ Intensive stage combat training

⚔️ Mindfulness practice

⚔️ Kundalini yoga  We'll balance BADC Stage Combat Training with contemplative practices such as yoga, breath work, meditation and nature based activities. This is a unique opportunity to learn or refine your skills whilst offering yourself time and space to reconnect with yourself and nature, in the glorious Welsh countryside.

Accommodation

·  ​You'll be staying in our custom built studio and retreat nestled in the rolling Welsh countryside.

·  ​Sleeping up to twelve people, our accommodation is the perfect place to relax and bond with your group.

·  ​We have a patio garden and balcony for moments of calm and boundless countryside to explore. ​​

·  Getting here is easier than you think. You can drive or we can help with car sharing / collection from Chester/Ruabon if someone's not passing your route. And the T10 bus stops right outside our door!

RC Annie

The Uk’s Leading Fight & Intimacy Company​

Established in 2005 by Fight and Intimacy Directors/Coordinators Rachel Bown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown.  Rc-Annie Ltd is the UK’s premiere dramatic violence company. Rachel and Ruth are passionate and committed to furthering the art of Stage Combat by offering excellent training, creative and innovative Fight and Action Co-ordination and reliable Dramatic Violence solutions for Stage and Screen.  ​Whether they are working on Intimacy direction or an epic battle scene they are known for their sensitive and respectful approach.  They regularly work with notable theatrical institutions such as Shakespeare's Globe, The RSC, NT, ROH, Theatre Clwyd, Leeds playhouse, Theatre Royal Bath, Chichester Festival Theatre

Rachel Bown-Williams of RC - Annie Ltd

Rachel is a Master at Arms, Examiner and Teacher with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat.  She is also a Kundalini Global Yoga Teacher   ​ She works as a Fight and Intimacy Director for Theatre, TV & Film and teaches Stage Combat to  Actors in Training at RCSSD and Florida State University.  ​Rachel Grew up in North Wales, she  came to this work via Shotokan Karate in her youth, gaining a 1st Dan Black Belt, and training as  an Actor at Rose Bruford College.  Her work with Performers is rooted in intention and breath with  the addition of self regulation, working with the stress system, empowering actors to work bravely,  safely and with awareness.  ​​

Carlotta De Gregori

Carlotta De Gregori is an actress, dancer, fight performer and stage combat instructor. She grew  up in Rome, Italy, where she originally trained as a dancer for 14 years, before moving to London to pursue acting.  She trained as an actor at Drama Centre London and the Boris Shchukin Theatre  Institute in Moscow, she certified as a stage combat teacher with the British Academy of Dramatic  Combat, working alongside RC-Annie.  As an actor,  she is currently appearing in the History Channel limited docu-drama series Colosseum, and will  appear in the upcoming Working Title/Netflix feature film The Swimmers. ​
